If this is the case, is it safe to install all of the
patches OTHER THAN the Kernel updates? I know it says
to install them from bottom up, but none of the other
patches list either of the Kernel updates as
dependencies, so it seems this should be okay
(although we would need to watch in the future to make
sure no patch did require these)?
