Problem: through GUI, have greyed out domain with "X" (domainx.com);
and if I try to modify or delete domain I get an error "server in
process of deleting domain... please try again later"
I need some pointers on a problem and am unable to locate any
references through searching the list archive.

thanks to Bruce for the above link,
however I just tried removing the SITEDEL file, per the tip from the
old July 2000 post:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/admserv stop
rm /etc/locks/SITEDEL
/etc/rc.d/init.d/admserv start
and this did not entirely fix it ... I rebooted the server,
and I can still see the www.domainx.xyz ip and red "X" in the server
management site list via the GUI (was site31).
HOWEVER... it does appear to allow me to delete a domain (I'm killing
site37 right now) and hoping that adding or deleting a domain will
"Refresh" whatever datafile the GUI uses to keep track of the domain
list.
I'm detailing this so that future folks who search the archive on
this topic might find something more recent than mid-2000 - !
Well.. now the domain I deleted today (site37) is gone and out of the
GUI ... however, the original "gremlin domain" is still listed in the
GUI.
So,
problem solved: can add/delete domains again (yay)
problem not solved: ghost listing in GUI ...
Does any kind soul have a pointer to fixing the GUI listing to remove
the gremlin or ghost domain that still appears in the list?
I'll try rebuilding the slocate.db again, but any additional help
would be appreciated. Thanks folks!
Christopher
