[cobalt-users] [RAQ4] Changing main machine domain & eMail Problems

Hi!

I've got a RAQ4(r) here and I had to change the name of the main-site (server-name) of that machive because of canceling the old main domain.

I change the name via "Control Panel" - "network" from

"domain1.olddomain.de" to "www.domain1.de"

I had to do this change twice because after the first editing the old name still appeard. After chaning it for the second time it went O.K.

The maybe strange looking old and new name (with the subdomain) is O.K. and the webserver works perfect. But I get nor errors with an mail account: I created a new account "test1@xxxxxxxxxx" and if I try to send an eMail to it I got error's:

- - -
.
.
.
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<test1@xxxxxxxxxx>
(reason: 554 <test1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>: Relay access denied)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to domain1.olddomain.de.:
 RCPT To:<test1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
<<< 554 <test1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>: Relay access denied
554 5.0.0 <test1@xxxxxxxxxx>... Service unavailable
.

Question is: Why does the old servername still appear there?

Do I have to re-configure something manually for the eMail-Service? Do I have to enter something in the eMail-Server settings? There are no "domain1.olddomain.de entries" entries anymore in the relaying / host & domain aliases settings anymore.

In the virtusertable are still some (many) domain1.olddomain.de entries.

Any help would be appreciated because on that server a customer DB email-sending system is running - erm... right now *not* running because of that eMail-Stuff ;)
