I had the same trouble on my XTR. On mine I had to go in the control panel and turn off authentication checking for the packages. (I am assuming you are trying to install through the GUI) I'm not sure where the switch is on 550, but on mine:
GUI > bluelinq > settings > advanced > "Packages must be Autheticated" 
Turn it off, and you should be fine.
