I have this problem if I try to download and FTP to the server. There are two
ways that I install pkg files.
1) I goto the website that has the package and right click on the link to the
pkg file and copy the shortcut location. I then goto BlueLinQ and manually
install the package and paste that copied location there. click to download and
install.
2) Login using Telnet or Puttyssh and login as root.
type: cd /home/packages
type: wget package_url.pkg
after this downloads goto the GUI interface and under BlueLinQ, click 3rd party
Software and click install manually. You will see a choice to install packages
in /home/packages.
