[cobalt-users] [Raq 4] installing OS like OpenBSD or Linux

hi,

i want to install another os on my raq like openbsd or a linux like
distribution. 

can anyone explain me how i can connect to the raq from my linux box? i
would use a serial cable to get a console, but how?
i googled a bit and found out that i have to change my /etc/inittab.
ok, i changed it like this:

6:12345:respawn:/sbin/agetty 9600 ttyS0 vc/6

but that doesn't realy work :-(

could you please help me a bit so that i can reach the next step?
