I second Michael Aronoff, and the alike posters.

Brian is well known poster to the list, who has helped countless people with
their problems free of charge. Added to that, he offers free packages to the
community, and yes, a few commercial. The *value* off people like Brian
(nuonce), Gerard (raqware), and Michael (solarspeed) to this list is >>
immense <<. I guess anyone could run there serverpark with just these 3
people on the list.  Even the way he introduces his package is imho FUNNY
for a plug.

There realy is little difference between him posting "hey,
cobalt-specific-much-requested-package, $10" or when i am posting, "hey,
HOWTO, free" as it both contributed to the knowledge of the Cobalt
administrators about there machines, and the options avaiable.

As for the meta faq fans, the only part dealing with posts "like this" is:

Which this post does certainly qualify for,
