Verizon in the past has blocked all mail from leaving their network with
a return address of any domain except their own.  They were supposed to
have "fixed" that about a year ago, but who knows <frown>.  What they
did was transparently redirect all outgoing email to their own servers,
and then check to make sure the return address had their domain in it.

Some ISPs (AOL fir example) transparently redirects all outgoing email
through their own servers, no matter what server your client thinks
s/he's send outgoing email through.
