RE: [cobalt-users] web.log

Thnx!
I see now that I have 2 ways to approach this.

1. set_logratate.pl - change the % size for logfiles, of allocated diskspace
2. /etc/logrotate.d/site# - config the size limitation individually for each
site.

Any suggestions on which is the better way to go? I imagine the global
set_logrotate.pl approach.

When the log gets "rotated," does is just parse out the oldest entries, or
does it do a clean-out of all data?

I'm assuming that any deletion of log data will affect Webalizer stats, in
that it will not have/show the data that was "rotated out"?

thnx for these clarifications,
Manny

By default the logs get rotated when the logs are 10% the size of the
vsite hard disk space allotted.

If you feel that you want to rotate the logs for certain size other than
the defaults, the settings are at /etc/logrotate.d/site#
