Yes the backup's are in Plain Text. And I can see all of the info in them
with VI.

Also, I have already restored the backup into the "virtusertable" file. It
all looks right ;-) BUT, I still cannot add more than one account or email
alias's.

Look at your backup copies and see if any of them are plaintext (ie: vi or
pico doesn't complain when you try to access them). It's no use trying to
use makemap to recreate the hashed version if your original file is no good.


Your new one only has the one record added to it since at one point you told
us that the file was zero bytes (or cleared). Soory if I'm not more specific
but I have not been following this conversation too closely.
