I realize I don't need it for smtp to work, it is just that I don't ever
want to get locked out of my own server, I do not do this for anyone
else, only for our IP's so that we never get locked out, there are all
kinds of things that can get you accidentaly locked out when you run
portsentry as I have it set on a hair trigger, I do get more false
alarms than I would like, but after some close calls with hackers I feel
it is worth the hassle. I will try what you suggest for getting pop
before smtp to work, but are you suggesting this will solve my issue of
my users getting "Relaying Denied" errors when sending email to a domain
not hosted on our server? The reason I ask is that with my email account
with my ISP, I don't have to do pop B4 SMTP to send email, and I have
never had a problem sending to even the most obscure email addresses.
Thanx for the help BTW.
