Reverse DNS will not affect your email in this case. If you hadn't
removed and recreated the site, you could have found the missing entries
in virtualusertable which were probably caused by a missing email alias
in your site settings. The IP name lookup above was the IP trying to
send to your domain and since it wasn't local it wasn't allowed. If
email failed because of no rDNS the Internet would come crashing down.
Here's the identical error from a domain in my DNS only with no site or
email alias.
Mar 17 23:49:48 admin sendmail[14252]: h2I5nlH14252: ruleset=check_rcpt,
arg1=<anyone@xxxxxxxxxxx>, relay=smtp-out.comcast.net [24.153.64.116],
reject=550 5.7.1 <anyone@xxxxxxxxxxxx>... Relaying denied. Please check
your mail first or restart your mail session.
