Hi All,
I have started having a lot of my clients with domains on my RAQ4 ask
how to use MySQL that comes with the RAQ4. I know I can telnet in
and add a database using a command-line interface, but I certainly
don't want my clients accessing it the same way. In the next few
months I'm expecting to have a minimum of 20 new domain clients all
who will need MySQL databases and access.
I have no background in running PHP and/or MySQL and so need help in
how to tell my clients how to do it. If anyone out there has a
'How-To' guide for the Cobalt RAQ4 on MySQL and PHP I'd greatly
appreciate it. And if anyone out there would like to 'teach' me how
to do it I'd be even more appreciative. Can't say I have any money
to say thanks, but we can discuss that if it is something important.
On the same thread, I've also been asked to upgrade my RAQ/Apache to
Tomcat so they can use JSP. Anyone have any clear and easy
help/instructions on this? Again from a novice Linux user.
This is a lot to ask you guys but I've spent hours on Sun/Cobalt's
site going through the Knowledge Base, going through this users list.
I've bought books on how to use MySQL and PHP. But of course they
don't deal with the Cobalt environment with multiple virtual domains
and......
Thanks and thanks some more.
Paul
