The machine name is not in the GUI.
maybe you created a virtual site with the old name????

Gerald

The machine mane (main site host name) is found under 'network' in the control panel - when changed, it does not change the name of the main site in the site management list. how do I change the host name for the main site? it now links to a 404 but changing the URL in the browser allows access to it.

was:

https://oldhost.domain.tld:81/.cobalt/siteManage/oldhost.domain.tld/

but after changing the host name the link is now:

https://NEWhost.domain.tld:81/.cobalt/siteManage/oldhost.domain.tld/
 (404)

Changing the URL in the borwser to:
https://NEWhost.domain.tld:81/.cobalt/siteManage/NEWhost.domain.tld/

which then reaches the site's admin panel.

What do I have to change to get then name of the main site updated?
The LCD and paths all changed correctly.
