Bruce, my guess is that the "Reboot your server" popup window comes up
in the browser before the drives are finished syncing, and for some
reason, the resulting command (probably "shutdown -r now") command works
before the drives finished syncing.

If that's the case, then the drives will probably resync at startup.

Just a guess, based on about twenty-years of unix experience <smile>.
