Granted in general notebook hard drives have been slower.. however there are
5400 RPM drives currently available from IBM and I believe other vendors
now.
FYI - I have heard that some people have actually used notbook computers as
web/email servers.

I took a look at this - looks pretty cool, for a number of different types
of applications.
IIRC, though, laptop hard drives are considerably slower than desktop
counterparts. Not sure how that will/won't affect your situation.
