Looks like everyone pretty well covered things.... My one piece of advice
has to do with Verisign/Network Solutions.

In my case, my domains/nameservers are not registered with them. They seem
to always lag behind the rest when it comes to getting the nameserver
changes into their system. I recommend that after about 24 hours, check any
domains your clients have with them to see if the nameserver IP has updated
on their domain registration. If your changes are showing elsewhere but not
with them, go to internic.net and see make sure your changes are reflected.

If so, call Network Solutions and ask them to "mirror the registry" for your
name server. The terminology is important - took me a lot of shots before I
got people who knew what I was talking about, and what the proper
terminology was so that the person who answered the phone the first time
would know what to do.... I had a lot of wasted time on this one the first
time I ever moved a DNS server.

Good Luck.
