It's been the experience of one of my clients that cmuExport works and
creates what appear to be a valid cmuExport file structure. Jeff
Bilicki, who wrote CMU, wrote that cmuImport for the 550 is specifically
written to NOT accept the cmuExport backups created by the 550, because
there are problems with it. I've offered him the use of a 550 for
testing and hopefully fixing, because this is important to my client,
but he hasn't responded.
We've got another client who wants me to verify that the contents of
RaQ550 cmuExport contain all the necessary files; we'll check that and
hopefully report back before the end of the year.
If it does, then at least it can be used to automate backup, though
restore would be a real pain.
