It's not an official or supported option, so there's nothing they will
ever say on what could or did go wrong.
The 550-OS-on-non-550-hardware option is something that was being
developed when a lot of budget problems/layoffs/etc hit, so QA was
never completed. It's definitely a "use at your own risk" option.
