Re: [cobalt-users] slocate corrupt database

I've searched through the archives and
checked the google usenet archives and seem
to be unable to find a working solution to
what seems to be a fairly common problem.

When I try to run slocate I get the following
error.

Hi I had this problem on one server
and even when I ran updatdb did not fix it I finally ran updatedb and excluded say /home/sites and it all worked then I ran it a bit more say excluding site30 on etc untill it broke what I found was that certain file names in on of the users sites cause this this site had
file names that were like %$##@
and was causing this problem seems the site was a Koren site and that when he made the files these names were happening
