Hello,
I've searched through the archives and
checked the google usenet archives and seem
to be unable to find a working solution to
what seems to be a fairly common problem.
When I try to run slocate I get the following
error.
---
[admin admin]$ locate chroot
locate: decode_db() aborted. Corrupt database?
---
I've su'd into root and tried to update the database.
I've also tried to delete the database and recreate
it by running both updatedb and
/etc/cron.daily/slocate.cron
The slocate.db file gets recreated properly (AFAIK)
but I still end up with the same error.
Does anyone have any advice?
TIA,
Collin Campbell
