Something to add to both of the instructions that appeared...Thawte has
a control panel that lets you specify which paths are allowed to use SSL
on your server. On our site, it defaulted to Deny All, and it took us a
while (and a call to tech support) to figure out why the site seal was
coming up invalid. Here are the instructions from Thawte:
--------------------snip------------------------------------
Subject: Certificate is valid, yet we get the invalid slash through seal
This error occurs when the permissions for displaying the Site Seal on
your site are set to 'deny'
Choosing 'allow' from the permission selector, clicking 'done' and then
'update', will allow you to display the Site Seal on your site error
free.
Please go to the following url and download the new updated Site Seal
again:
http://www.thawte.com/html/CORPORATE/siteseal.html by clicking on "Click
here to get your Authentic Site Seal and Referrer Seal".
1. Enter your Order number and click "Next"
2. Enter your Status Page Password, if one was set and click "Next".
3. You need to enter the Directory from the box under "Add Location".
4. Click on "Allow" and specify the language.
5. Then click on "Add Location"
6. It will list that directory under the First box.
7. Make sure that your First empty directory has "Allow" enabled.
8. Once you have successfully added the locations that you would like to
display the Site Seal, click on 'update' and then click on 'done', so
that the changes are implemented.
9. Proceed to follow the instructions listed on the next page with
regards to implementing the JavaScript on your site.
