Yes, only one copy of sendmail is running by default, and it sends out
mail from the "base" domain of your server. Remember, every single
user on the system, regardless of the virtual host they are assigned
to, is "really" just user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You would need to get multiple copies of sendmail running, each with
its own config file etc for each domain. In a virtual hosting
environment with sendmail, there's not much that can be done easily
