Considering the lack of candor about the end of life, the lack of
announcements about recent updates, the quality of recent updates(or lack
thereof) and the recent post by Bruce reference to pink slips, what makes
you think Sun will continue to support the product?

Remember, Sun is the company that did away with the Cobalt warranty on
software.

Another point to ponder...about the time Sun kills off the Raq4 with no
public announcement they strong arm Gerald to stop offering improvements
to their restore CDs. Many on the list defend Sun, but isn't it possible
that Sun wanted Gerald to go away simply because what he was doing would
extend the life of their dead product.

Does anyone want to wager a small amount on how long it will take Sun to
stop ALL support for the RaQ3 and RaQ4 and use the excuse that no employee
has suffiecient knowledge of the obsolete equipment?

Thankfully some of us have taken steps to have a web site and mailing list
to offer "self support", as the next logical step would be for Sun to
either close this list or heavily censor it.
