[cobalt-users] virtual site logs

The disclaimer - I've searched to archives and can't
really find a suitable answer. I know someone is going
to tell me to RTFM.....but a little help here would be
great. I'm trying to determine if virtual site logs
are being rotated properly. Here's some info from the
/logs directory from one site:

drwxr-s--- 2 nobody site6 1024 Sep 30 00:27
.
-rw-r--r-- 1 root site6 231733 Sep 30 00:27

web.log.1.gz
drwxrwsr-x 6 nobody site6 1024 Oct 8 2001
..

As you can see, some of the files are quite
large.....and though today is the 30th, the .gz file
was last modified on the 17th. Am I missing something
here (knowledge) or should these files be much
smaller? This is from a Raq4 with all updates/patches
(and unfortunately the SHP patch).
Thanks much in advance for your assistance,
Mike
