The disclaimer - I've searched to archives and can't
really find a suitable answer. I know someone is going
to tell me to RTFM.....but a little help here would be
great. I'm trying to determine if virtual site logs
are being rotated properly. Here's some info from the
/logs directory from one site:

As you can see, some of the files are quite
large.....and though today is the 30th, the .gz file
was last modified on the 17th. Am I missing something
here (knowledge) or should these files be much
smaller? This is from a Raq4 with all updates/patches
(and unfortunately the SHP patch).
Thanks much in advance for your assistance,
Mike
Where is your web.log file?
my web.log file on my main site is 25,046,976 yet my web.cache is only
1,216,125. My mail log is over 8meg with a cache of only 1meg. You mail
log is only 200k but your cache is almost a meg.
My web log hasn't ever rotated yet, so I don't have a gz file at all.
I am not sure what creates the cache files, but your cache files are far
bigger than your logs. You total files are only about 22megs, that is not
too bad.
