just had to send this one in.
seems a friend of mine in the medical scanning field just bought a qube
2 for $10,000.00 . No, that's not a joke. He owns an MRI/CT scan
center and will use this to HIPPA compliantly share his images. Seems
this company medweb sells them with a custom built image server, which
is the "value add". Their page is down right now (snicker) but here's
the page for it.

The most amusing thing is the fact that he gets FULL TECHNICAL SUPPORT
AND WARRANTY from these people, including on-site support.
Honestly tho, i think they did a heck of a job ALTERING THE GUI! They
added ipfilter and a half dozen other things of their own, which begs
the question of why sun never added any of that stuff themselves awhile
back.
unfortunately, they also leave postresql's remote port and the "secure
telnet" (hahahahhahaha) services open and running. damn shame the
thing doesn't come secure out of the box.
What do you guys think of this one????? I'm planning on selling 286
super duper email servers for $5,000 bucks a pop, anyone game???
I wish i could post something for everyone to sniff at it, but the
domain name is still resolving, and i don't think it would be proper
for me to do something silly like expose his new box while its still
vulnerable. i'll ask him if he wants anyone (else) to white hat hack
into it, so he believes me when i say its not very secure right now.
later
