RE: [cobalt-users] RAQ4R - Apache Patch & Web Server Not Responding

Thanks for the input..

The error that I was getting when trying to start the web server seemed to
be related to the Chilisoft software and being unable to locate a
file/directory.

Any way after uninstalling the Apache patch and Chilisoft software and then
reinstalling them again everything seems to have magically started working
again.

Even kicked the server a few times for good measure to make sure it wasn't
just messing with me.. ;-)

So far so good.. what a pain in the A@#.

Thanks again.. I'm not looking forward to the other 2 servers with the same
build on them and updating them. All I can say is thankfully it didn't
disrupt the sendmail.

Jerry

You don't have to uninstall the update.

What you should do is (as root):

# /etc/rc.d/init.d/http start

and see the error message you get. Then search for that error message
in the list archives; you'll find out how to fix them; it's been on this
list within the past few days.
