[cobalt-users] RE: RAQ 3 - Apache Upgrade Problems

Earlier I posted this...

Mentioned prior to this after upgrading a RAQ3 with the official Cobalt Apache fix I started seeing this error message in my cron.daily logs...

error: apache:1 duplicate log entry for /var/log/httpd/access

Now today we happen to notice that logrotate wasn't happening, called /etc/cron.daily/logrotate from the command line and that came back to me with the same error message above. Checked the other tasks in the folder and webalizer has been running since the update also, but all the others such as AVUpdate, snort reports, chkrootkit are all working okay.

After running the tasks manually I went up top and didn't even see webalizer running.

Anyone any clues on how to resolve this one, need to get at least logrotate going again

After digging around my old notes for the sever and seeing a similar post (FTP related) I jumped into /etc/logrotate.d and there was the apache entry but there at the bottom of the file listing was a "zapache" entry which was renamed way back to allow to correct rotation of the webalizer stats. I've now removed the apache entry and we'll see what cron.daily comes back with tomorrow morning. Hopefully this'll resolve the duplicate log entry and get logrotation going along with webalizer.

If anyone knows any different I'm open to other suggestions :)

Regards
