RE: [cobalt-users] Primary & Secondary DNS - How to on RAQ4R

That sounds easy enough.. for the 2ndary. I guess I'm not clear about the
Primary configuration now.

I have DNS info setup for a test site and the site works. Does that mean I
have DNS setup properly for a Primary DNS configuration?

Guess I just need some hand holding to get over this initial bump.

Thanks!!

Hey jerry,

I have 2 raq 4R's setup as primary and secondary dns....

If you know how to setup primary In the admin interface, then secondary is
a peace of cake.

1. Click control panel
2. Click parameters under Domain Name System (DNS) Server.
3. under the pull down that starts out as add..... on the right hand side
click "secondary name service for domain.
4. put in the domain name you want to secondary, and put in the I.P.
address of your primary name server (your other RAQ4R)
5. Click update list.
6. click save changes to dns server.

Your done.
