Yes, and no kmem is the kernel memory used to hold data structures used by
the kernel
The error could mean the kernel process for loading modules found garbage in
one of the kmem data structures.
check the owner.group of kmem it should be root.kmem.
It may be worth re-booting and see if it repeats itself.
Did you read the log files to see if there were any errors reported just
before the system went down.?
