Dear Cobalt Experts --
My RaQ 2 has been running like a champ
for almost 3 years with nary a blip. It's been
utterly reliable, until... Yesterday, it stopped
dead in its tracks. I cycled power and it's
running fine now, but I saw the following
messages on boot-up:
May 19 11:12:53 www kernel: klogd 1.3-3, log source = /proc/kmsg started.
May 19 11:12:54 www kernel: Inspecting /boot/System.map
May 19 11:12:54 www kernel: Loaded 3642 symbols from /boot/System.map.
May 19 11:12:54 www kernel: Symbols match kernel version 2.0.34.
May 19 11:12:54 www kernel: Error seeking in /dev/kmem
May 19 11:12:54 www kernel: Symbol #ip_alias, value 803f1b18
May 19 11:12:54 www kernel: Error adding kernel module table entry.
Inspecting the logs, I see no other evidence
of problems.
/dev/kmem is just memory chips, right?
Does this mean I need to replace them?
If so, from where do I order them? Sun?
Many thanks for any advice you can offer.
