More or less. Dynamically-linked binaries can bite you during
library upgrades if you're not careful. I'm ignoring kernel
upgrades, too.
Beyond that, though, reboots are indeed rare events in the *ix
world. Definitely not recommended to "flush out mysterious
problems". Not needed in day-to-day operation.
