Ok, lemme see if I have this straight...you had a client that you _admit_
sent unsolicited commercial email, and you are now complaining because the
ISP removed him? Geez...c'mon, if the guy sent UCE, he SHOULD have been
removed. If you helped him in any way (which you appear not to have done; I'm
only extending the point not accusing you), _you_ should have been removed
asd well It doesn't matter _how_ many complaints, so long as one of 'em can
be substantiated. My TOS clearly states that if you spam, you die, no
refunds, no returns. I'm pretty careful about only working with
people/businesses I know well (unlike many, I don't lease to anyone with a
checkbook, but only to clients in the consulting business), and have only
ever had one clown spam and then only using a "drop box" on my machine. His
site dissapeared with the _first_ complaint...by the 30-40th, I was pretty
sure he was never coming back on _my_ machine.
In the case you describe, the ISP _was_ "responsible," and hopefully your
client (and maybe even you) learned a valuable lesson - UCE will get you
kicked. With some luck, your client will never do it again and will become a
responsible netcitizen himself.
Apologies to those on the list for the off-topic nature of this post;
anyone (well, anyone not on my blocked list, anyway) may feel free to respond
to me privately, but I won't post on this thread to the list again.
