My suggestion is this, either participate in the list or don't, but don't
get upset when you are reminded of list policy. Is this list a little more
'particular' about how things are done than other lists? Yes, that's just
the way it is. Too many times there are postings that are either redundant
or irrelevant to the list, if everyone would read the rules and the archives
(as painful as that is) the list would be a better place.
Having said that, I might also suggest that those who 'moderate' the list
might be a little more humane when they identify an offender. Sometimes we
lose the human touch when when staring at a screen all day and forget that
there are people at the other end that are more sensitive to comments than
others. "Use soft words and hard arguments".
