Gentlemen;
I am no "list cop" and don't often inject something into a thread by way
of recriminations or scolding. Usually it just drains bandwidth and
achieves nothing useful. On this occasion however, I must take exception
to this thread. It is perhaps *the* least fruitful line of discussion I
can recall in some years on this list.

Please consider this; the list *is* (yes, it really is) for discussion
of Cobalt Server Appliances and making 'em run...keeping 'em running and
safe and so on.....and apart from the occasional brief and mild O/T,
that's about it.

Consider this also gentlemen; Free speech is essential, we all recognize
that. However, if I may emphasize this in the strongest terms consistent
with appropriate manners and decorum:
		This **isn't** the place to have this discussion!

Whatever the merits of the conversation are (or are not), please take
the conversation off the list and elaborate on your various
philosophical points elsewhere.

Note that this is a request, not a flame or an angry post filled with
personal or demeaning comemnts about subject or sender(s).
The alternative is a regrettable one, there is such a thing as "plonk"
and it's a poor choice, but one necessary if this sad state of affairs
continues.

So, shall we adjourn this to a more private venue if further ripostes
are necessary? It **must** be in a venue other than here.
