Answer: The "install software" option is to install .pkg (dot pkg or
"package" files). This is Cobalt built software, "ready-to-go" just
browse for whatever "package" you've downloaded, and bingo, 'yer good to
go.
Packages are available at: http://pkgmaster.com/
Note: Cobalt Linux is d.e.r.i.v.e.d. (note strong emphasis please) from
Redhat Linux. However, you cannot install RPM's this way, rpm's can only
be installed from the command line.
IF "Sophos" has an RPM, you could try your hand at command line RPM
installation.
You should check at Packagemaster to see what OS upgrades are available
for your machine. To see what has already been installed, in your admin
interface brwose to "maintenance" and look at what software is listed
there. You are strongly encouraged to apply all patches IN SEQUENCE that
apply to your Cobalt Appliance. A search of previous postings to the
list will be most informative.
Good Luck!!

-Colin
