[cobalt-users] Re: Memory Upgrade for a XTR??

Can't tell you yet what will work, but I can tell you what won't - almost
all RAM! The XTR requires specific chips on the SIMM itself - Cobalt/Sun
says that not even all chips from their preferred manufacturer will work,
even with the same specifications! If anyone has a known vendor who has this
RAM, info would be appreciated. Here is what the knowledgebase says (and I
believe it because I have tried other RAM that meets the spec):

     128MB Model
Centon CCB128M/REG133
Chip: Mosel Vitelic PN V54C365804VCT7

256MB Model
Centon CCB256M/REG133
Chip: Toshiba PN TC59SM708FT-75

512MB Model
Centon CCB512M/REG133M
Chip: Samsung PN K4S560832A-TC75

Make sure that the memory order actually includes the chip vendor
information. All 133MHz Centon memory will NOT work in the XTR.
