No response at all? No ping?

Best way is to connect via serial console and watch output. The
LCD display really doesn't do much.

Remote-reboot equipment exists. One more thing that can fail, to
be sure, but it exists. If this appeals to you, you have even
more choices on colo.

I'm sure that you'll get many plugs from many people -- including
myself, if you like. :-)

<plug detail="differentiation">

Unlike many others, we segment customers into private ethernet
segments... you can't bring us down by binding our DNS servers'
IP addresses. You can't sniff other clients' traffic. (In many
places, tcpdump or ettercap can be loads of fun.)

You actually get to (have to? *wink*) work with the one who has
enable on the border router.

Other services include secondary DNS and email... but I won't
ramble any more here.

What are your needs? The XTR is definitely the more powerful,
but it depends what you need. RAID is a good idea, if not
mandatory.
