[cobalt-users] RE: Free DNS services... that updates fast.

I just saw this and thought I might input (not advertise) a site
I use. I know some say that DNS on Cobalt4 might be a security issue
or more headaches?

I use www.mydomain.com as to handling my DNSes as you would use
register.com.

I like the service because within 2 minutes the changes take effect.
that is 2 minutes or tops 5 minutes and not 20 hours or 52 hours.

I don't know if that's a plus or a negative but I like their features.
They also support MX, Ip Forward, Redirect, Redirect Stealth and
lots and lots of sudomains, subdomains of subdomains and more.
Emails, well too many to list.

Hint: Don't use their Stealth Redirect because I've lost few
business leads because I gave them a shorter domain name than
my actual one and the site didn't show up or some issue like that
especially when you Redirect Stealth. I use it for DNS and MX only.

Ou, the + on this is, if you are hosting a site for someone and
keep your isp provider 'semi-hidden' you can have your:
ns1.mydomain.com
ns2.mydomain.com

I like this only because of the timming. If a site crashes I redirect
it to a 2nd server within minutes and not 24 or 48 hours.
