I've never had a problem with SMC tech support. Yes, sometimes we do
wait a long time on support before we get through. I put my system on a
speaker, and I just do other things while waiting.

I found out that after midnight the waits are shorter.

Same with Linksys. Everyone has their favorite. I have two linksys routers, one SMC and one Netgear along with a couple of linksys switches and a bunch of linksys network cards to join my 3com cards. I also have a switch from I think gigaswitch. They all work well. I did find that the netgear router you have to telnet into and do some internal configuring to allow a server to run behind it. Not a problem with the Linksys. Haven't really looked at the SMC much.(it is still in a box)
