Hi one and all,
I dont know if many have heard, but Carrier1 who were our Internet Access
Provider went into liquidation which meant changing to a new one and
altering all the network addresses and IP numbers used on the servers. Not a
problem really.
But, what is the problem is that our nameserver is one of those servers and
has not resolved to its new IP address, so is not providing the correct IP
addresses from it yet, because the dns is still being looked for on the old
IP address. This normally should not be a problem because the secondary
server should be able to provide the info, but this is where it gets fun.
We have just found out that the RaQ3 has a bug in it with regards to
secondary dns services. If you place a number at the front of the domain
name to provide secondary services for, it will not show up at all within
the GUI, but it does record the information thats for sure and works. Now I
need to change a dozen or so IP addresses for these secondary services but
do not know which file in the server holds this information.
So - Anyone know which file on a RaQ3 holds the Secondary DNS Information
for altering within a shell session?
Any help would be very very very much appreciated...
Ian
