The extent of what we in the field were told was:

"It currently sounds like an installation problem (like the 
package does not go all the way to the end of the install 
process and does not reboot the system and then the customer 
gets all kinds of weird things in the UI, kind of thing :) 
and it could be related to having Adaptive Firewall installed 
on the system... or not.  Right now we are at the very early 
stages of the investigation, working with support to collect 
evidences from customers experiencing these problems..."

This was on Wednesday, 13 March... I just placed a follow-up call to the
QA folks; we'll see what they have to say...  Sorry, but I don't know
what to recommend you should do... I personally am waiting until QA
comes out with an answer (and fix if needed).
