Because some people like to use ftp.theirdomain.com instead of ftping to
www.theirdomain.com. It goes with the "norm" naming convention, you know?
ChiefMonkey:
It should not be that hard to do. On know the Raq4's you can add Site
Aliases, that should work. If not, you can probably get away with editing
your proftpd.conf and changing www.domain.com to ftp.domain.com. Just be
for warned, the proftpd.conf file will be over written if you add more
virtual sites with FTP access.
What you can try to do is setup a CNAME on your DNS to point ftp.domain.com
to www.domain.com. That may work.
