Hi all,
I work for a multi-national company with numerous small branch offices, for
our larger sites we are using Exchange 2000 Server but for our smaller ones
(>20 people) we are considering using Cobalt Qubes.
I've been going over the specs, websites and newsgroups trying to find a way
to cost effectively (in terms of money and time) synchronize the corporate
Exchange global address list with Qube 3's LDAP directory. Has anyone tried
and succeeded (or almost succeeded) in doing this?
My research has lead me down 4 avenues
1. Buy a professional LDAP Directory Synchronization Utility e.g Compaq's
LDSU (at $20K its a bit out of our budget)
2. Purchase a Meta Directory to synchronize this information for me
(Overkill and pricey)
3. Manually Export Exchange's GAL to CSV convert it to an LDIF file, hack
it and all the remote branches exported LDIF files together into on file
and import it into all the servers (this will take a lot of time and its
risky as well)
4. Contract in a developer to come up with a solution (we don't have the
skillset in house to QA his work or estimate how long it will take)
Any help would be extremely appreciated!
