[cobalt-users] needing to reset root passwd

I've got a raq3 thats having mail problems, it's really difficult to 
troubleshoot without root which I can't get into. I'm guessing the 
previous owner changed the root password from the cli. I've tried 
resetting the admin password in the web interface but its not 
effecting the actual root password. I've read about the reset switch 
on the back, I've got 2 questions about it. First, does it reset the 
root password and second, does it reset anything else? I can't have 
it resetting the whole unit (ie clearing everything) or the settings 
in the web interface.

In short, I don't have the root password (nor can obtain it) which 
was set on the cli and I need to reset it without erasing any other 
data.
