Sounds like something is broken. It *should* reset the root password,
though I personally actually wish it didn't since it would effectively add
another layer of security. Any chance you removed admin from the wheel
group? If you run the following command you should get the output below.
[root# cat /etc/group | grep wheel
wheel:x:10:root,admin
If that's the problem you may need to connect a cable to the box and boot in
single user mode and fix the problem or take the drive out, put it in
another Linux box, mount the drive, fix it and return to the RaQ3. Or if
you don't have physical access you could make an RPM that overwrites the
current /etc/group file with the current records, but root added to wheel,
create a PKG file based on the RPM and upload it through the install section
of the GUI.
