Hi Robbert,
Long time no see N hear. Good to see you couldn't leave your old friends.
LOL. Been busy. No time to unsubscribe. ;-)
Shouldn't that be
# ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.proftpd
You *can* do this, but only if proftpd is started at boot time via its
initscript. You can check this by issueing:
chkconfig --list proftpd
If you get an error, you can't kill proftpd from inetd.conf or your users
will be locked out.
and then from the prompt
killall -HUP inetd
or am I oftrack here ?
Only if `ps ax` has a line which says:
proftpd (accepting connections)
In that case, proftpd runs in standalone mode. You could always check
proftpd.conf, which prolly resides in /etc.
Ps. I consider switch to servelinux ! Would that be better ? What came out
your private investigation nico?? Anyluck ?
I'll contact you off-list later, m'kay?
Good luck... Nico
