Re: [cobalt-users] [raq4] FTP - Admin user denied ?!!?

Well the best advice i can give you is log on as admin and su -

Enter your admin password again. If it lets you log on then you have root
access. If you gain root access you can change the file permissions back to
original, you can also change the owner permissions if needed.

That is a solution if the user "admin" that you are logging in as can no
longer change file permissions, the only user that should supercede "admin"
should be "root".

Is this what you are looking for?

If it is and you are unsure how to do this, hire an expert because you can
really screw up your server when you are logged in as "root".

Also, if this is on the right track there is no quick fix to your problem if
that is what your looking for.

I take no offense to anything posted here, but the people that respond to
you do so genuinely and wether or not your problem is solved they deserve
your respect for TRYING. This is a users list for cobalt products where
other users try to help eachother out. I would also suggest that you check
out he cobalt-security archives cause it sounds like you got security issues
that need to be resolved.

Bob Cruz
