RE: [cobalt-users] Message on email

Hello,

Something I did one on a RAQ3 is just change the name of the site in the GUI
and add a an entry to the virtusertable in the section #accept e-mail at
domain routes:

@olddomain.com	%1@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

This will forward all the mail to the new domain and saves you the time of
moving all the accounts. You do have to add the new domain for relaying

For the response message I suggest you you procmail.

Hoop it helps

Jef

I have a company that is switching to a new domain. I will be hosting both
on the same Raq4. All email users are POP clients. I need to change
user@xxxxxxxxxxx to user@xxxxxxxxxxx and enable forwarding to the new
account, as well as sending a message for the sender to please update their
address book. One possibility I have devised is to leave user@xxxxxxxxxxx
and add a vacation message and enable forwarding to a 'temporary' account on
domain2.com. After 6 months or so, come back and delete the account on
domain1.com and re-create it one domain2.com then re-configure the user to
look at user@xxxxxxxxxxxx Seems like the long way around the mountain! Is
there a way to generate a response mail when mail is sent to an alias?
There are only about 20 users, so I would probably prefer to make a separate
personalized message for each. Any other ways to skin this cat?

Thanks in advance!
